Jinja Inception meeting

The Inception Meeting introduced the DataCities project to Jinja City authorities and stakeholders, aiming to popularize the project, identify priority data needs, and outline data use cases. The meeting attracted 91 participants, including political leaders, city department heads, government agencies, civil society organizations, private sector representatives, media, cultural, and religious leaders. Keynote speeches highlighted the importance of data in smart city modeling and urban socio-economic development. The project aligns with Uganda's urbanization goals and aims to address urban planning challenges through evidence-based decision-making.
